We installed a new Unist vegetable oil-based coolant on our Marvel Saw. This eliminated the mess of water soluble cutting fluid and possible rust issues to customers products. Our saw operators report increased blade life, increased production and the blade is cool to touch. We have eliminated any fluid handling except the occasional filling of the small reservoir on the UNIST system with Cool-Lube. Since the lubricant is entirely consumed in the proc- ess, there is no more fluid related clean up, and the customer problems related to rust and excess fluid have disappeared.
