Aurum Steel Works is very excited to announce it has recently purchased a new building to accommodate its expansion of new machinery and hiring of employees. This building, at 45 Scoville Ave, is directly behind our Milton St. plant across the railroad tracks. This building has 20,000 sq. ft. of shop space.
One of the big reasons Aurum Steel Works purchased a “Plant 2” is because of the new Mazak sheet metal laser we just bought. This laser, the OptiPlex 4020, has 4000 kw of power, a 6x12 ball transfer table and can cut up to 1 inch thick material. This laser will tremendously expand our capabilities and customer base as we will be one of a select few machine shops that have a laser with these options.
